Welcome to Black Beard K9’s Puppy Training Program! The first few months of your puppy’s life are crucial to setting the stage for a lifetime of good behavior, confidence, and positive experiences. Our Puppy Training Program is designed to provide your young dog with the essential skills and social experiences they need to grow into a balanced, well-mannered adult dog.
While this program focuses on obedience-based training we value positive attitude and good behavior over all else. Every day you will be provided with a training log to go over the progress that was made and the plan for the following day. This program runs Monday through Friday.
The Behavior Modification Program is designed to address and resolve challenging behavioral issues, including fear-based reactions, aggression, anxiety, and more. Through positive reinforcement, counter-conditioning, and targeted training exercises, we work with your dog to replace undesirable behaviors with calm, confident responses.
These 1-on-1 sessions provide personalized guidance, addressing specific behavioral challenges or training goals in a focused and supportive environment. Whether you’re working on basic obedience, tackling reactivity, or refining advanced skills, our experienced trainers will develop a customized plan to help you and your dog succeed.

Frank is the driving force behind Blackbeard K9, combining his extensive knowledge of sporting and working dogs with a passion for training that spans over a decade. He is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners form strong, lasting connections through effective training methods, with a positive-first approach
As a certified trainer, Frank specializes in positive reinforcement techniques that promote learning and foster a joyful environment for both dogs and their handlers. He believes that every dog has the potential to succeed, and he tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each canine companion.
Frank is also a competitor in IGP Dog Sport with his two Giant Schnauzers, Charli and Bruno. His experience in the competitive arena not only enhances his training skills but also allows him to share valuable insights with clients who aspire to achieve their own goals.
We offer three-week, six-week, and behavior modification programs. The duration depends on the dog’s needs and goals.
Start with our in-home evaluation, where we assess your dog’s behavior and recommend the best program for your needs.
All necessary equipment, including leashes, collars, and training tools, is included in the program.
Our trainers are committed to your dog’s success. We will adjust the training plan as needed and provide ongoing support.
Yes! After the program, you’ll receive private lessons and continued access to our trainers for additional support.
